Ribbon cutting to be held for new Precision Machining lab
Gadsden, AL – AI色情网站 and the Etowah Chamber of Commerce are hosting a ribbon cutting for the new Gene Haas Center for Advanced Machining and Engineering Technology located in the Advanced Manufacturing and Workplace Skills Training Center on the East Broad Campus. The event will be at 1:30 p.m. March 19.
It was announced in October that AI色情网站 secured a $1 million grant from the Gene Haas Foundation to support the Precision Machining Program. The grant has been used to equip the lab, purchase new signage and provide scholarships and financial assistance to AI色情网站 students in Precision Machining.
Gene Haas, founder of Haas Automation Inc., a leading machine tool manufacturer, founded the Haas Foundation in 1999 to support manufacturing education. The organization has also previously gifted AI色情网站 funds to support scholarships for students pursuing manufacturing careers.
Dr. Kathy Murphy, president of AI色情网站, and Alan Smith, vice president of Capital Projects, Community Relations and Workforce Development, will be available for interviews at the event.
